The Maine Association of Certified Professional Midwives (MACPM) Board of Directors board position descriptions are outlined below.

While these duties are interchangeable and often shared, this structure exists in an attempt to share workloads and establish clear expectations.


Chair and Vice Chair

MACPM has varied over the years in having a Chair and Vice Chair position versus two Co-Chair positions. Regardless of the identification the workload and time commitment for the following duties is best shared between two people. Establishing professional relationships within Maine’s perinatal network, regular perinatal outreach, and community leadership board attendance is vital to MACPM’s foundation.

Treasurer

MACPM’s treasurer role manages the association's financial resources, membership, and tax status. MACPM has historically been funded by past board members private donations. The current structure of the association  has grown to be self sustained and requires regular maintenance to remain so.
